my laptop has internal wireless card.o I tried installing the router CD. At one point it said do something or hold the reset button for ten seconds. I did that. During the process, it said hook the ethernet cord from one of the numbered ports to the ethernet port on your computer. The ethernet port on my computer doesn't work so I stopped. But now no one can get wireless internet. There is a person here who has x box. we tried some things. unhooking the modem for ten seconds, the router for thirty seconds. I tried even longer times. On the x box screen it shows it's receiving the signal and it is strong but it's not picking up the internet. It had some points on whAT To do if you can't get wireless. It looks like it has to do with the dns. Probably when I hit the reset button. | |

He showed me this new computer he got. My computer is connected to the internet by USB. When he asked can you hook it up so I can show you how it works, it didn't work. But when I un hooked it, it worked. I have a linksys wireless router. This computer I'm using now, never have been able to get iT Wireless, even with wireless adapters. I have windows 2000. I have IBM A20m laptop. I bought this used at a computer repair shop. When going onto reviews on this computers and stats it says it does have an internal wireless card. I went into his internet options and his connections said wireless connection. I wentn into mine, which is local area connection. I hit make new connection. It started it configuring new coneection. I hit cancel immiedietly, afraid I may not have any connection at all. This friend does have windows XP. But if that's it, then that would mean you ncan't have wireless with windows 2000. And that doesn't make any sense. Does it? If someone knows, it would be great. | |

| Which do you prefer, Wired DSL or Wireless Connection? | | Hi there!!!I prefer wired dsl, because it is more stable connection than wireless, although wireless has advantage when it comes we are going for travel, also it is very easy to transfer to another place, unlike the wired one, you have to ask for relocation your telephone line, but i prefer wired hehehe..
